All of our facilities are rehab-accredited and have ongoing internship programs with Loma Linda University, University of Southern California, California State University Fresno, California State University Long Beach and Mount St. Mary's College. IPT's internship program is approved by the California State Board of Medical Examiners. Many students who have participated in IPT's internship program have gone on to join our staff as physical therapists. Every student who participates in the internship program not only receives an invaluable educational experience, but is also motivated, prepared, and equipped with the qualities to be successful in his or her profession. IPT also has internship programs for California Licensed Foreign Trained Physical Therapists. Foreign trained applicants fax resume to: 310-698-5414.
As a certified rehabilitation agency, each facility is routinely inspected and complies with the regulations set by the Department of Health Services. In order to receive certification status, IPT not only adheres to guidelines and regulations, but also exceeds minimum qualification requirements.
IPT acknowledges the importance of continuing education and professional affiliation. In this regard, each employee is required to attend continuing education programs annually, and must receive CPR certification. IPT encourages continuing education by providing educational reimbursement to offset the costs of such programs. Furthermore, students and employees are strongly encouraged to join the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), as APTA's guidelines are followed in each facility.
For the past 30 years, IPT has come to be known as the place "Where caring and progress go hand in hand." With this motto, IPT will continue to grow in the field of managed healthcare as a private practice staffed by highly qualified professionals and physical therapists serving the needs of the community.
