Steven Hardy
PT, DPT
Originally hailing from the great state of Utah, Steven Hardy completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Utah in 2017 (Go Utes!). In another life, Steven was an avid swimmer and a high school state champion. This led him to the University of California — San Diego, where he received a BA in Economics and accolades as an NCAA All-American swimmer. Although his racing days are now in the rearview mirror, he enjoys an active lifestyle (with his dog) and healthy competition (also with his dog). When Steven is not working, he enjoys playing tennis, exploring national parks, and traveling.
Steven has always gravitated toward cooperative team settings, and that motivated his initial interest in physical therapy. Steven loved that physical therapy offers him this type of environment, predicated on encouragement and support, while also allowing him to participate in the recovery and well-being of his patients. Steven has found the most enjoyment working in a manual therapy-focused orthopedic setting with varying age groups and ranging pathologies. That is the population that he gets to treat at Independent Physical Therapy.
